Why did you start this business? It has always been a dream of ours to own our own business. Cindy is ready to retire from General Motors, but not ready to stop working; Tami has always wanted to provide a place where people could be happy and have fun.

How did you initially get into this business? We knew each other and an opportunity came our way, so we went for it.

What types of products or services does your business offer? We serve appetizers, tacos, sandwiches, soups and salads. We make our own taco meat, dressings, salsas and have our own margarita recipe. We have daily specials, and a happy hour featuring half-price appetizers and “double bubble” drinks from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., weekdays. We have an open-mic night on Wednesdays, live blues music on Thursdays, a DJ on Saturdays and various live bands throughout the month. We also offer beer pong. We have wireless Internet, the NFL Network and the Big Ten Network.

What is the biggest challenge you face in your business? We have never owned a bar, so we are learning as we go. Also, we have an old building that needed a lot of renovating.

What aspect of your business do you enjoy the most? We enjoy being our own bosses and making new friends.

What are your future plans for the business? We have three floors in our building, and would like to expand upstairs one day. Also, we will be expanding our menu to include a fish fry, wraps, authentic gyros and vegetarian dishes.
